Backstreet Boys postpone Israel concerts

Due to the dangerous circumstances going on in that part of the world, the Backstreet Boys are the latest artists to pull back and cancel/postpone their tour dates in Israel.

Veteran US pop heroes the Backstreet Boys have bowed out of their three sold out shows on July 29, 30 and 31 at the Ra’anana Amphitheater at the end of the month.

The former boy band still retains a huge following in Israel and one show that was announced for July 29 snowballed into three shows in a very short time. However due to Operation Protective Edge, the band and promoter jointly issued a statement Sunday stating that the shows had been postponed.

A statement in the band’s name said, “We are very sorry to inform you that the BSB concerts planned for July 29-30-31 at the Raanana Amphitheater have been postponed. This is a major disappointment for the band and fans as this was to be our first visit to Israel and we looked forward to meeting our fans. We’re already working with the producers on new dates during spring 2015 and will notify everyone about this as soon as possible. Sending lots of love to everyone.”

Promoter Tal Sharif confirmed that alternate dates are already being considered for March-April 2015. Tickets to the show will be refunded beginning on Thursday at http://www.2207.co.il. (Source)
