Six years ago today, January 31, 2012, me and several of my closest friends traveled from Georgia, Florida and even Michigan to see Nick Carter’s second date on his “I’m Taking Off” tour in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Backstreet Boys 2018 25th anniversary cruise is literally less than a handful months away and we still have no themes. By the time in 2016, we already had at least two themes, so maybe they want us to improvise.
Way Back Wednesday … the day that it’s appropriate to watch old Backstreet Boys videos. Then again, when isn’t it appropriate?
Check out this video from, I think, 1997, of the Backstreet Boys performing “Darlin’” live in concert.
It doesn’t matter what else they sing, when the Backstreet Boys perform “Incomplete,” the audience is enthused with the lyrics, the melody and most important, the vocals.
Just a little way back Wednesday with our favorite boys performing “As Long As You Love Me” on Wetten Daas in 1997. What is your favorite WBW performance of the song?
Can you believe that? It’s been almost 12 years since the Backstreet Boys’ MTV Diary (this time for the UK) first aired.
Six years ago today, Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block released their joint album – NKOTBSB. The album included five of each groups’ greatest hits, two new songs (“Don’t Turn Out The Lights” and “All In My Head”) and an amazing remix with some new, re-recorded hits mixed all together. The album was […]
There’s nothing like watching old Backstreet Boys videos, especially on Way Back Wednesday. Check out this video from a 2005 Germany special on Viva where the guys perform “Climbing The Walls.”
There’s nothing like an old Backstreet Boys interview where they are still fresh-faced babies who dream of stardom. Who are we kidding, they are still fresh-faced! They don’t age! On one of their early bonding trips in Orlando, they must of went over to the Fountain of Youth that Ponce De Leon found in St. […]
It’s hard to believe this was almost 15 years ago, but around the time that ‘Chapter One’ was released, the boys went on a busy media frenzy. One of the stops was ‘The View’ where the women of the show talked with the boys for the entire time that they had guest.
Back in February 2001, O-Town performed their very first headlining concert at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, Ga. and I was lucky enough to have front row seats. I had watched the show “Making the Band” and knew about the guys, the songs and of course the television show.
Talk about a blast from the past! Check out this video from MTV News 1515 (remember that show?) from Orlando where the entire episode talked about boy bands. Don’t worry, this part is just Backstreet Boys. Watch them get a key to the city and sit down (or lay down) for an interview where they […]
Remember when the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block performed on Ryan Seacrest’s and at the top, Dick Clark’s, New Year’s Eve special? Who else misses the two best boy bands of the ’90s and now? God knows I do.
Check out this performance of “My Everything” and “Give Me Just One Night” from 98 Degrees 15 years ago, back in 2000.
Check out this pretty cool interview from November 2001 that the Backstreet Boys did for CBS This Morning while in New York promoting “Chapter One.”
Probably not many people caught this, but Howie Dorough and his older sister Pollyanna, the one who got Howie into singing and acting, performed the National Anthem during a Celebrity Boxing Match back in 2002. The brother and sister duo performed the anthem on behalf of the Dorough Lupus Foundation. Check out the video below!
Leave it to the Backstreet Boys to sing a capella at the drop of a hat. Check out this video from 1997 from RTL television in Germany where the boys sing a part of “As Long As You Love Me” and “Quit Playing Games With My Heart” without any music. Because really, when you’re the […]
The year 1998 was a big year for the Backstreet Boys because they officially became superstars in the United States. Take a look back at MTV News’ year in review for the boys in 1998 and hear from a few other celebrities about the boys.
Forget this Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift drama around this year’s MTV VMA Awards. Remember back when the awards meant something? Back when Madonna walked down in a wedding dress or even Britney wore the snake? Let’s go back to when the Backstreet Boys pretty much rocked the VMA’s with their 1999 performance of “I […]
