2018 @BackstreetBoys Cruise Review: Day Four (The Last Day)

I almost can’t believe I’m writing about the last day of the cruise already … but what a day it was!

We slept until almost 10 a.m. (shocking, on a cruise, I know!) and we got dressed to go eat some lunch. We didn’t have anything until Nick’s game show at 2:30 p.m. and I was kind of a nervous wreck. I had Julia sending me dates of important BSB events because I was dead set on winning the game and figured it would be a lot dates.

There wasn’t.

So we “studied” although there wasn’t anything that Nick asked that we studied (lol), and then headed out to the lido deck where the game show was going to take place. Then I headed back behind the stage and before I knew it, I was on the stage and Nick was coming on to introduce the game in his game show voice.

So if you’ve watched the video, you can kind of see how Nick and I bicker back and forth. This is literally how it’s always been with us.

I knew all the answers, even the ones asked to the other contestants when I wasn’t playing, except for the name of Kevin’s character in “Chicago” because I’m just not a Broadway person. I knew the name of the movie he was in (the question I missed) but I guess I just got the name twisted. And it’s not that I’m some psycho that remembers everything… I just have always had this weird fascination with remembering things when it comes to music. I could do the same thing with country music.  Country music and Backstreet Boys are two things that I love dearly.

To be honest, by the end of it, I was almost scared to answer the questions, especially that last one. In the video, you can see that I’m like backing up a little and laughing because Nick noticed I did the buzzer, but I remember that day! I remember Kevin hosting TRL and doing that fake announcement that the group was going to break up.

And we literally didn’t know what the prize was until Nick asked and Jenn said that it was a kiss. My real response was, “Oh shit.” I didn’t say that just because I was up there. Because it was taking everything I had to be in front of everybody, much less getting a kiss!

After I won and after the kiss (lol), we walked down off the stage and Nick told me again what an awesome job I did and hugged me again. And then I saw a few of my friends around and hugged them and headed back over to where Mara, Teresa and Jake were and literally started freaking out a little.

And really, I was on a high for the rest of the day.

We didn’t go to Brian and Leighanne’s event and instead went and ate and got ready for the final deck party, which I just wore a plaid skirt, leggings, a Friends t-shirt and had my hair in butterfly clips and then later in pigtails because it was so hot. There was NO wind blowing, which was the total opposite of Thursday night.

And I just don’t know what to say about the boys’ Spice Girls outfifits still and it has been a week and a half. I’m still kind of in shock. In shock because I have never been so attracted to a “woman” as I was to Nick dressed as Baby Spice. LOL!

We didn’t have a real spot on the last night because I was moving around a lot going back and forth between groups and then finally Mara and I went to get in AJ’s selfie line and we were probably in the first 30 people. After that, I stayed around the stage for a bit before going in and taking a shower. Mara went to bed, but I just didn’t feel like going to sleep just yet, so I got dressed in what I was going to wear to the airport that morning and went back outside.

There, I got to go up on stage for a bit and got to talk to Nick again where he continued to tell me what an awesome job I did at the game show and then invited me to his bar opening when it happens in Florida. And then I got a selfie and it’s probably one of my favorite selfies. I don’t have any make-up on. My hair is in a ponytail on top of my head and I don’t have a care in the world.

And it was literally the perfect end to a perfect cruise.

I ended up getting about an hours sleep before we had to get up and then we got off the boat quicker then we had EVER gotten off the boat. We got off on our floor (7th) and just rolled our luggage out and it was marvelous.

While I personally don’t think they’ll have a cruise next year with the new album and world tour and Vegas, I’m going to be ready for when they do. This was my fourth cruise (I missed the first and third) and I will never miss another one.
