Boys on the Block has been through a lot in the year and a half it’s been online. We’ve done so many things and we continue to hope to do more.
You may have noticed that over the past few weeks, things have been slow. Like has gotten in the way for all of us, especially for me. I have contemplated on what to do with the site. Do I want to move it to a free server and just let it sit? Do I want to delete it all together? I’ve been back and forth, talking with all the girls here on the site who love BOTB as much as I do.
I feel that there are enough sites that are creative enough to do different things now. And they’re good sites. You all go there. You know. To be honest, the Backstreet Boys website area of the fandom is at the strongest now. We haven’t had this many good sites since 1999, man. I’m not even lying. And I hope that BOTB is a part of that.
We are slowly moving to a new area for the site. We are all adults and have jobs and work our butts off and love all the boys and lads (that’s for you Hannah). We hope to make this site a place for fangirls of all boy band kind and invite anybody to join. We want to dig a little deeper into this fandom that we all love so much.
Personally, this year has changed me a lot – career wise and personally. Leaving a job, taking another job, then taking another job and moving for that job and just getting used to so much that sometimes I feel like I don’t give the site the attention it deserves. I closed My Confession on a whim and sometimes I regret it, but I do feel like the fan fiction part of my life is over. Even though I wrote a chapter of a new story last night and today, I probably will never finish it.
I hate feeling like I’ve let people down… whether it’s people who want me to continue to write, or want My Confession back, or what the fun, creative, crazy post on here.
I’m kind of a perfectionist and sometimes I wear myself down trying to do too much.
I’m babbling now. This site won’t go anywhere. We have a few new girls on here that you’ve read their stuff. Ezra May and I have our video analysis and the new Instagram project – Backstreet Boys Fangirl Diary.
And we love the new 1D album.
Like… seriously. Love it.
It reminds us of Backstreet Boys and we need the lads to come back after their break.
But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms
and if you like having secret little rendezvous
If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do
Baby I’m perfect, perfect for you.
